Resources

This page explains the resources available to you on our site.

The forum

A forum has been set up on our website so that students from all grades can ask questions. Several themes are covered: biodiversity, scientific expeditions, man and his environment, geology and geography, nature conservation and documentary films.

Scientists and expedition members are trying to provide answers from the field, which is not always easy given the amount of work and fatigue involved in such missions in such places. If you are a teacher and would like to work with your students on this project and use the forum, please contact us!

The film

A 26-minute documentary film was made by Evrard Wendenbaum after the first deep exploration of the Makay massif in 2007. You can download it here. This film is the great starting point for developing a class project around the Makay Nature project.

The pictures

All pictures from the first two expeditions to the massif can be viewed in the photo gallery. Those of the 2010 and 2011 missions will be visible on each expedition’s logbook, as well as on the googlemaps, which will be updated daily on the home page. As soon as the expedition returns, the hundreds of photos will be sorted, selected and added to the gallery.
