Testimonials ecovolunteers in Madagascar

Just let me tell you again, because it feels good, all the work that you are doing and will continue to do is just wonderful in these individualistic times, I have seen with my own eyes how much you love people and love. nature with the geographic and cultural complexities that this implies. (…) We can always do better or differently, but nowadays, there are many who do nothing, so I salute your courage, your energy and your humility in the face of this great project. I have a lot of admiration for your work and then, as my lover often says: "The good guys always win !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! »

“The Tiazorambo mission of July 2019 was ambitious. Nevertheless I think the result is magnificent. It took some sacrifices on the part of the ecovolunteers but as we went to seek this accomplishment in sweat I think that everyone left with a strong personal satisfaction. We were convinced that we were able to help a population / a village to give it the keys to human development, in order to try to carry out less sampling in the neighboring Makay, and to help set up good environmental practices. ”

Construction of a box by ecovolunteers in the Makay in Madagascar
Construction of bamboo facings for a hut in Makay in Madagascar

We have all learned A LOT, whether it is about the state of the world, the Makay, the association, the organization of expeditions, ourselves. Each break is subject to detailing the biology, geology, geography and history of Makay, but looking at the supervisors and in particular Evrard is at least as informative. A real example.

It would be unfair to hold some particular point, it was a total adventure: human, sporting, scientific. The sense of exploration is really exhilarating. The landscapes are breathtaking blast. Meetings are changing our look and make us better people. "

Discovery of the Makay massif by ecovolunteers
Exploration of the canyons of the Makay massif in Madagascar

“I survived a physical and mental ordeal that I was experiencing for the first time in my life.
I met great people and blew my mind with fantastic panoramas.
I have never eaten bananas so tastefully. I haven't used a computer for 2 weeks without missing it. I helped save a wonderful massif.
When you put it all together, the conclusion is clear: the trip is clearly a bitter failure!

Don’t give up, it’s wonderful what you are doing! My heightened virility prevents me from declaring my love for you, but still: thank you for everything! "

"I went with Naturevolution to Madagascar on a trek in November 2018.
This trip had a lot of impact on me. So much so that I changed jobs a few months ago for a job that makes more sense to me. "

Testimonials from eco-volunteers in Indonesia

"First eco-volunteering experience for me. I liked giving meaning to my trip, meeting people with extraordinary energy and projects on the other side of the world, becoming aware of real issues present even in isolated places, I liked the physical commitment and the discomfort, just what it takes to come home and finally say to each other I could have endured more… discover an unknown self-control in the face of an omnipresent fauna… and live unforgettable “natural moments”. Thanks to Naturevolution »

Discover the jungle islands of the Bay of Matarape
Exploring the karst jungle on the coastline of Matarape Bay in Indonesia

“I had an incredible, unique and incredibly strong experience, also relevant, because I cannot believe that my heart is filled with memories, I also come back with my head filled with projects and will, accompanied by determination. even more solid than before.

Live 4 weeks in a tent, with the rains, the winds, never have a dry clothes, sleep little, suffer physically from constant and sustained efforts, manage wounds that never heal, serve as a constant meal for hungry mosquitoes, no longer being able to look at rice by eating it at every meal, feeling exhausted, etc., are the most beautiful sufferings to be lived.

Cleaning of a beach and sorting of plastic waste by ecovolunteers
Sorting of waste collected on the islets of Matarape Bay in Indonesia

“Superb life experience, human experience. I consider myself very lucky to have been able to go to remote corners, to learn from these places, to camp in exceptional places. It was magical !

I remember the discovery of a magnificent and still very wild region (although sadly polluted by all kinds of waste), I remember the meeting with wonderful people, (and also with unusual critters!) I remember moments of sharing and smiles, I remember all these people who were curious to listen to why we had made all this trip to come and clean their beaches or to know why we should not throw or burn the plastics, I also remember the looks of these people who must have taken us for extraterrestrials and who didn't care why we were there;

THANKS NATUREVOLUTION !!! "

Where do these testimonies come from?

These testimonials come from anonymous questionnaires that we send to all ecovolunteers at the end of their mission, an approach that we have been doing since 2016 for our missions in Madagascar, and from the launch in 2018 of our missions in Indonesia.

Overwhelmingly, the feedback is overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic, and reinforce our conviction, year after year, that these missions, beyond being useful for projects, have an impact on eco-volunteers (you!) which far exceeds our expectations.

As for the few constructive criticisms that we receive via these questionnaires, they allow us to improve the organization of the missions each year.
